Kenya & Kassius

Kenya and Kassius, the twins, wake at about 9:00am now (most times earlier, they like to play in their crib) and sometimes still fussy about the morning change and clean-up.  For breakfast they usually get solid foods now, thanks to “Baby Weening”. Kassius loves fresh fruit pieces, some sausage and grits… while Kenya, well she just likes food.  Sometimes, we keep it simple and just have a bottle of milk. Both are now able to hold their own bottle! Thank goodness! Kenya is the oldest born in October at 7:37 am and Kassius at 7:47 am.  While still in the belly, Kenya was the active one. She was always kicking and squirming, while Kassius was quiet and calm.  We did not know at the time, and thought it was Kassius who was active, but Kenya surprised us.

After breakfast playtime!  Ms. Kenya is the scientist of the two.  Always, touching, turning, pushing and prodding at everything, seemingly trying to figure out what it is and how it works.  She also is very serious about it, do not disturb her investigations.  Kassius on the other hand likes to chase balls and rolling toys and play. He seems to like to disturb his sister while she is investigating. This usually goes on for about 1.5 hours then it is time for the mid-day nap.

After two hours of napping, which is mostly only 45 minutes, the twins get up and changed and time for some lunch.  Lunch is very light, fruit or bottles.  Again playtime!  Oh yea time for the “Magic School Bus” and yes you guessed it, Kenya seems to love it, while Kassius chases the other part of our family, our Presa Canario (dog big brother) around the house.  After about 1.5 hours its time for the evening nap.

After about an hour or so, well the twins are up again.  Dinner time! Kassius likes cucumbers, avocados, sometimes some mash potatoes, salmon chicken chunks.  While Kenya likes most everything.  Playtime again, which shorter because the twins have to get bathed or watch mommy get ready for the next day.  That is it, I called The day in the life of Kenya and Kassius!
