I am a new mom with twins! The most joyous day of my life was finding out I was pregnant. The scare? Well my doctor said there was something a little strange about pregnancy. It was too early to tell, then. 2 weeks later (while being on pins and needles for 2 weeks) I went back and after running some more tests… He said, hey I see two! Well I was relieved, filled with joy and terrified. Being a new mom, I thought it was scary enough taking care of one child, but two? My pregnancy was not too eventful, but well with my small frame, delivering twins was a bit challenging. I did it without too many difficulties. About 11 months I am still working out, walking and jogging with the twins to get back into shape!
I am married to a wonderful husband who is in the military. That means we move around a lot. When I found out I was pregnant we were overseas, preparing to move back to the states. The real challenging part is getting the help and support from both of our families. Currently we are in Texas and family is in Ohio and Georgia. On top of that, being in the military, my husband is away from home for extended periods of time. I am so thankful for both moms and my grandmother, who are able to come down to Texas to help out whenever I need them. Even got the grandpas down to help, it takes a community.
I am in my lower thirties, active in many mommy and baby groups and blogs, while going to school part-time working on my Masters. The twins keep me busy, but I still must push on with some of my plans to make a better life for all of us.
